Spider – man Into the Spider- verse December 23rd Wuhan

I was recommended to see Spider-Man during the holidays. Its veneration for the old comics brightens the eye, and Miles’s act as Spider-Man to overcome fear and eventually bring down the bad guys also makes the blood boil. Not only did it gain a great popularity in American domestic ,but also very popular in other country. Then came the question in my mind: Why are heroic films loved and accepted by cultures in so many countries although it’s a theme that has been used many times?

In my opinion the reason why heroic films can inspire people’s cultural identity is that  every country that exists today yearns for heroes and justice, and almost everyone wants evil to be defeated. No matter where, heroes have been yearned for by various countries since ancient times. Therefore, people wrote many heroes ‘myths and legends in early ancient times. For example, the stories of Houyi’s shooting of day and Hughes expressed their respect for heroes. In times of chaos and chaos in the world, people hope that there will be a hero who can save them in hell. Everyone who is in trouble wants to be saved. Overcoming evil and expecting peace is a common element of every national culture, isn’t it? Except for those ancient fairy tales, in a time of pace ,people still full of longing for hero, which is a symbol of power. On the other hand, not just hero in mythology, everyone can be hero. The male lead Miles in this movie is just a ordinary student, this detail brings the hero closer to the audience. He’s also the first Spider-Man to appear black.

”Until recently, the scarcity of heroes and lead characters that are not white has always been a bit of a subtle mental stumbling block for people of color . believe that the introduction of Miles Morales as Spider-Man sparked a renaissance and a trend to reimagine and feature characters that are not white and not male. That’s the story we set out to tell.”-Director Peter Ramsey.

Besides  heroic film is easy to combine other ideas like family and friendship.Although there are slight differences in the views of different countries on family and friends, there is always a common point of family reunification and friends supporting each other. And that’s why Spider-Man Miles finally understood that his father was getting back together, and that his friendship with Spider-Man from other parallel universes could touch so many viewers and inspire their cultural identity.

In short this Marvel film, created by the United States, has become popular around the world and has been recognized by nations of all cultures because every nation aspires to justice, which is a constant topic of conversation.

One of the strengths of the comic is that it manages to encapsulate in one image a really synched, powerful story point, motion or action. In our process
of animation, we tried to achieve that same thing.
Director Bob Persichetti

Visual culture names a variegated field of concerns having to do with the centrality of vision and the visual in producing meanings, channel-ing power relations, and shaping fantasy in a contemporary world where visual culture is “not just part of your everyday life, it is your everyday life” (Mirzoeff, 1998, p. 3).
